At the Heart Matters Restoration Initiative we are passionate about providing access to life-changing treatment that can decrease or eliminate mental health symptoms, facilitate breakthroughs in long-term PTSD, help expand capacity, skills, and relationships, and see true relief finally come for those who are struggling.
We pursue our mission by removing barriers of access to state-of-the art neurofeedback treatment for underserved populations.
By educating and advocating for mental health and wellness within our target populations of Teller and El Paso counties, and through partnership with donors to remove financial barriers to neurofeedback, we bring hope and tangible restoration to people in our communities.
This project, under the fiscal sponsorship of the non-profit New Horizons Foundation, allows donors to join us in this mission while receiving all the donor support and tax benefits of giving to a 501(c)(3)

HMRI has launched our first initiative!
We recognize the the ways that chronic stress, trauma exposure, shift work, and more strongly impact the well-being of first responders.
We view quality neurofeedback treatment as a vital tool for first responder wellness, and one that can help reduce barriers of access to mental health care in some unique ways. Through neurofeedback we are equipping first responders to improve their physical, mental, emotional, and relational functioning, and by extension, the well-being of their families and communities as well.
Giving to this initiative will allow the men and women who serve their communities as firefighters, EMTs, law enforcement, and military personnel to access neurofeedback training free of cost for those in need, with an emphasis on those in Colorado’s Teller and El Paso Counties.
